We are currently seeking an Instrument Engineer Sr. , reporting directly to the Section Head to join our Instrumentation and Control System team based in Rome, Italy. About the JobThe role and your responsibilities will include:Reviews Client's technical documentation and requirements. Controls of subcontracted discipline engineering documents. Defines engineering requirements. Support to detail engineering activities (layouts, routings, supports, sizing of CV's). Prepares specifications / datasheets, especially for field instruments and do the related technical bid evaluations. Prepares general job and supply specifications for field instruments. Checks supplier drawings and Vendor project documentation. Provides technical support to Project group. Optimizes field instrument selection ensuring minimal cost and simplification in compliance with the required performance. Implements instrument detail design on PID's. Effective management of change. Communication and interface with other engineering disciplines. Participate to technical negotiation for instrumentation selection. Performs the F. A. T.
(Factory Acceptance Test). Works according to company/project standards, procedures and specifications. Key interactionsThe Instrument Engineer interacts internally with civil works, other disciplines technical specialists and engineers, Project Groups; externally with suppliers and clients. About YouTo be successful in this mission you should consider the following requirements:Qualification: Automation and/or Mechanical Engineering;Languages: fluent in Italian and in English;Main skills and requirements:Knowledge and experience in the oil and gas industry is a plus;Knowledge and experience in automatic valves for industry applications (control and on-off valves) is a plus;Knowledge of European regulations regarding the European ATEX/SIL guidelines is a plus;Growth mindset and continuous improvement approach;Attitude to problem solving;Good presentation and communication skills at all organizational levels;Sharp eye for detail and ability to complete tasks on time with requirement company quality level and a high degree of precision;Capability to work in an international context and availability for short and long abroad missions;Good communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team within a multicultural environment;IT Skills:Strong MS Office skills (great command of Excel);Knowledge of SPI (Smart Plant Instrumentation);Inclusion StandardsIn our continuous journey to developing and building culture of inclusion, we adhere to four Inclusion Gold Standards:We challenge our biases and embrace diversity of thought;No one has all the knowledge and solutions, collectively we do;We foster a caring environment where people are respected, comfortable to share and be heard;We promote active listening for effective decision and action.
