Position Definition of the acquisition and network architecture for P&T, supervision of the implementation phase, commissioning of the measurement chains, on-site and remote acquisition and monitoring, management of the collected data and post-processing.

Main activities:

Support and supervise the preparation of the acquisition systems for additional sensors required in the P&T field.

Follow the procurement and organization of the hardware, evaluate the offers by selecting the suppliers.

Support in the development and maintenance of acquisition software.

Follow the configuration of the acquisition workstations in accordance with the IT department.

Coordinate the network architecture with IT to ensure remote control of the devices and communication with the control system when necessary.

Follow the setup of the measurement chains and the acquisition station on site, verifying the functioning of the sensors and the remote control from Genoa.

Support experimental test campaigns for the validation of turbomachinery during medium and long-term monitoring, ensuring the recording of useful data, both from site and remotely.

Pre-process and prepare the acquired validation data to share with designers and allow comparison with calculations.

Manage data structures by taking care of their back-up and storage.

Support in the post-processing of validation data by preparing the relevant reporting.

Requirements Degree in Electronic, Electrical, Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering.

Knowledge of National Instruments hardware tools (PXI, Compact Daq and PCI cards).

Knowledge of acquisition software tools such as LabView.

Knowledge of the main communication protocols such as TCP/IP and OPC.

Knowledge of numerical calculation tools like MatLab or Python for data processing.

Good propensity to acquire new technical skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team by actively collaborating with other specialists.

Ability to take initiative, proactive attitude and problem solving.

Attention to detail and quality.

No preclusion regarding the duration and destination of the trips (approximately 60 days per year in total, of which 20 consecutive days maximum).

Good knowledge of the English language (spoken and written).
