You will be based in Electrolux Food Preservation site in Susegana, Italy only 1 hour distance from Venice, where we are undergoing multimillion industry 4. 0 investment.

Here you will work together with nearly 1400 colleagues from different functions, and various nationalities, with the common goal to create the refrigeration of the future.

As Insulation & Materials Expert you will work closely with colleagues from all over the world, understanding different realities, cultures and people, as well as being part of an open-minded Team, where creativity is welcome and innovation is the middle name.

**Tasks**:

- Available for frequent trips to North and Latin America and to Thailand

- Support the technology manager in planning activity with suppliers of PU chemicals and thermoplastic materials worldwide

- Collaborate with the responsible for Susegana's and Anderson's PU foam lab's in running trials and qualifications

- Arrange, with process laboratories of the Electrolux factories worldwide, industrial trials to qualify new materials and new suppliers

- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering in validation and implementation of newtechnologies for PU foaming, extrusion and vacuum forming processes

- Build-up competences to simulate processes such as PU foaming, injection moulding and vacuum forming, to support virtual prototyping

- Support the Global Purchasing in measuring supplier capability with aim at identifying opportunities for technical developments

- Contribute to solve process issues in the plants on request by factory laboratories

- Collaborate with product Architectures to optimise design of new models for a better processing

- Define and carry-out projects on specific topics defined by the Global Technology Leadership

- Write internal technical reports, specifications and working procedures

- Attend conferences and visit exhibitions

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or Chemical Engineering

- Knowledge of PU chemistry

- Knowledge of thermoplastics chemistry and transformation technologies (injection molding, extrusion and vacuum forming)

- Fluent in English
