Relocation required to Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for providing general and specialized direct and indirect patient care through the application of evidence-based nursing procedures and practices to patients of all ages on assigned nursing unit.
This position is also responsible for demonstrating competency in the behavioral, growth, development, and psychosocial needs of patients being treated.

KEY DECISIONS THE ROLE MAKES AND THE EXTENT OF THE IMPACT OF THE DECISIONDevelop and implement plan of care, supervise Practical Nurses and collaborate with other health care professionals.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPATIENT CAREPerforms accurate and complete admission assessmentsMonitors and documents the patient's condition and the effectiveness of care and/or interventionsEstablishes and implements a care plan based on sound nursing theory, scientific principles, professional judgment, and individual patient needsEvaluates and updates the patient's plan of care to facilitate the achievement of planned and expected outcomesAdministers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocolAssesses for and plans the educational needs of the patientProvides teaching and educational material to patients and/or families, which may include diagnosis, tests and procedures, safe and proper use of equipment, use of medications, injury prevention, and nutritional needsMonitors and resolves customer service issues and provides feedback regarding satisfaction results to Nursing LeadershipMaintains confidentiality regarding patients and familiesInteracts with patients, families, and other visitors in a courteous, helpful mannerFacilitates the incorporation of patient safety and Magnet principles into clinical nursing careParticipates in clinical nursing research and supports CCAD research initiativesKeeps abreast of best practice information for nursing professionCLINICAL / PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGEUse the knowledge of one's own role and the roles of other professions to appropriately assess and address the health care needs of the patients and populations servedDemonstrates commitment to providing evidence-based practice care by adhering to protocols for the care of patient populations in which assigned, reporting needed changes in practice supported by evidence, and participating in evaluating patient outcomes utilizing evidenceDelegates appropriate components of the nursing care plan to other members of the nursing teamMaintains confidentiality regarding patient and family information by promoting professional interdisciplinary communicationRespects Patient Rights and demonstrates behaviors of a Patients' First PhilosophyIncorporates the CCAD Professional Practice model and patient safety principles into clinical practiceReports errors and near-missesResponsible for completing charge capture education and in-service training for their Institute within CCAD.
When charges are not captured automatically the nurse will complete within Epic in real-time, Perioperative Services within 24 business hours. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSESSENTIALEducation: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification is requiredMinimum three (3) year curriculum in Nursing from an accredited program is requiredExperience: Minimum of two (2) years post-graduate experience in an acute care setting is requiredNote: experience requirement is waived for graduates of UAE Nursing colleges or universities after completion of an approved internshipCertification and Licensure: Valid and current national license is requiredBLS is required from AHA or an equivalent organization, or must be obtained within 3 months of employmentACLS, PALS relevant to area of specialty is required, from AHA or an equivalent organization; or must obtain within 6 months of employmentProfessional MembershipJob Specific Skills and AbilitiesStrong oral and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office suiteAbility to effectively manage multiple responsibilities simultaneouslyFluency in written and spoken EnglishExperience with electronic medical record is strongly preferredAbility to speak and write in Arabic is preferredNote: Due to the large volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
