Context
The overarching goal of The APPD is the development and execution of the academic curriculum.
Academic policies, engagements, programs, and events as directed are planned, prepared and executed by the Division.
The APPD is responsible for the development and maintenance of IT enabled education and support in the information support, as well.
Expanded e-learning options allow the NDC to retain the integrated model and provide an excellent opportunity for linking with NATO Nations professional military education institutions.
NDC experiments with innovative education technologies to expand the delivery of its mission in new and modern ways.
Alternative methods (i. e.
virtual, hybrid, blended, asynchronous) to deliver the College's academic programs have to be investigated and integrated during implementation.
Appropriate use of modern technology and instructional methods may enhance lifelong learning and facilitate innovative research, provide possibilities for effective engagement, and improve efficiency in the management and administration activities.
E-learning could drive innovation and experimentation of advanced education technologies for consideration in NDC courses or modules in resident and non-resident courses, face-to-face instruction or online, and blended learning environments.

Job Description
The Multimedia Creator intern's responsibilities are to aid the organization and administration of the modern education technologies employment in support of all NDC academic activities.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- create and prepare videos, pictures, graphics for introductory virtual page "NDC orientation" for the newcomers (staff and course members) as a repository of tutorials to replace the many briefings provided when they arrive at the college (the most demanded tutorial in this package - the Academic portal and the CIS systems guides),
- work on visual ideas for the library communication (pictures, presentations, graphics),
- work on creative new videos and update previously recorded videos support for the library services and resources, so that people could learn about the library in other means than the usual Introduction tour we do each course (i. e.
visiting scholars, new incoming staff, distance learning users, they could all benefit from online library tutorials),
- assisting in defining of the NDC collaborative capabilities requirements,
- testing and analyzing different educational and collaborative tools,
- other duties as assigned.
A very good level of English language proficiency is required.
Knowledge of French language would be also beneficial.
Video and graphics technical skills are desired.
NATO Defense College is only able to offer internship to people who are at least 21 and under the age of 30 and citizens of a NATO member country.
