Our Mechanical & Electrical engineers work closely with architects, designers, and specialists across disciplines to deliver truly integrated and impactful solutions for our clients.
The Opportunity The Building Services (MEP) team has been growing consistently in the last 3 years, working on iconic buildings in Italy and in Europe, on a diverse range of projects including Stadia, Luxury Hotels, Offices, Commercial, Healthcare, Science and Industry and Educational projects.
This is your chance to gain hands-on experience in the Building Services team working with experts in the field.
As an Electrical Engineer Intern at Arup, you will: Assist in the design and delivery of electrical services (MV and LV), collaborating with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
Contribute to technical analysis, computations, preparation of specifications, modelling, and reporting under close supervision, applying your academic knowledge to real-world challenges.
Apply a variety of standards methods and techniques for solving problems.
Be accountable for delivering high quality work of which may take the form of drawings, reports, standard documentation, presentations, authority submissions etc, within the agreed timeframes.
Participate in site visits, design reviews and project workshops, gaining valuable industry exposure.
We require: Currently studying in an Engineering University (Building/ Electrical/ Energy/ other relevant) or holding a relevant technical Diploma.
Ability to design and deliver engineering solutions on projects.
Knowledge of sustainability principles.
Good planning and organisation skills.
Fluent level of written and spoken English and Italian skills.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Good knowledge of CAD and/or Building Information Modelling.
We also value: Interest in sustainability as evidenced by extracurricular activities, etc.
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with an eagerness to learn and apply new concepts.
Availability to travel within the region (Europe).
