**Discover the role

As an Internal Accountant, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting and tax needs for TMF Italy, partnering with the Financial Controller and Finance team to make sure that financial records are accurate and up-to-date, compliant with local laws and regulations.

**Key Responsibilities

- Complete all relevant month-end financial close procedures including necessary accruals and payroll accounting

- Oversee and coordinate the accounts payable processes from order to payment

- Treasury management, contact with banks

- Prepare VAT declaration and statutory reports (VAT, Intrastat, F24, Withholding taxes)

- Being the reference person for Finance Shared Service Center

- Tax payment

- Managing accurate and timely fixed asset information in the fixed asset register

- Ensuring that statutory requirements are met and adopted accordingly in the company's operational and financial activities, and compliance with other government rules and regulations

- Year-end adjustment entries for Statutory FS purposes

- Ensuring that compliant books and records are maintained while performing checks on the correctness of data

- Be able to contribute to the accounting software development by working with the developers

- Provide support and assistance to the Manager on projects and ad-hoc tasks

**About you

- Ideally, you meet the following criteria:_

- Up to 5 years of experience preferably in multinational companies

- High School Diploma and/or Degree Economics

- Fluency in English (B2+)

- Proficient user of MS Office package

- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for companies in Italy (statutory deadlines, tax laws and regulations, etc.

)

- Knowledge of the Profis system will be considered a plus

- Highly responsible and organized person with good communication skills and a problem-solving attitude
