Internal Auditor
CONTEXT The Corporate Internal Audit department provides independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve the Menarini Group's operations.
The mission of the Internal Audit is to support the Organization's Mission of empowering happier living, and advancing healthcare through the company's therapeutic portfolio by enhancing and protecting organizational values through risk-based and objective assurance, advice and insight.
The Internal Audit department helps the Menarini Group to accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and control processes.
The Internal Audit activity assures Corporate Senior Management and A. Menarini IFR's BoD that all reviewed operations are working in a manner that is consistent with established organizational objectives, policies, and procedures.
To this aim the Internal Audit department performs operational and compliance audits included in the annual Audit Plan approved by the Menarini's BoD based on a regular risk assessment process.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The candidate will be part of the Corporate Internal Audit Team.
Working individually and in a team, the candidate is in charge to perform operational and compliance audits in all departments of the Menarini Group companies, mainly in the Western Europe region, as well as in other regions where the Group operates.
compliance audits: to validate compliance with established laws, regulations, policies, contracts.
Such audits are focused on the evaluation that key controls supporting initiation, authorization and processing of transactions are operating as designed.
operational audits: to evaluate the design, effectiveness and efficiency of key processes of the organization.
Such audits are focused on understanding business objectives, research best practices for achieving those objectives and identifying gaps between current process and best practices.
Elements of compliance audits are normally incorporated in the operational audits.
After discussion with various specialists, the employee keeps records of the results and develops suggestions for improvement in order to optimize the company's processes.
The employee also follows up and verifies the implementation of the agreed solutions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate of a university or business school with very good grades, e. g.
Economics or Business Graduate, Business Engineering Graduate, Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent.
Experience: Five years of professional experience in an audit firm or business consultancy focusing on audit / process optimisation, or in a comparable position in an industrial or service company.
Qualifications and skills: Good knowledge of computer work and advanced command of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
Professional certifications (e. g.
CIA, CFE) and experience with forensic auditing are preferable.
Good knowledge of Data Analytics tools (e. g.
TeamMate Analytics, ACL) is preferable.
Written and spoken proficiency in English.
Additional languages (e. g.
French, German, and Spanish) are preferable.
The candidate should have: Good knowledge of international accounting practices.
International experience.
Excellent communication skills meeting the requirements of an intercultural environment.
Persuasiveness, determination and diplomatic enforcement.
Analytical and entrepreneurial thinking, excellent judgment.
Ability to present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand way.
Willingness to travel.
