International Media Manager
Waveamker is looking for an International Media Manager will work within the International Hub Team, responsible for handling Wavemaker's global clients' brands and their media investments in key markets worldwide, overseeing media strategy, planning and buying.
The main task of the team is to manage the relationship with the central client and direct the local agencies in developing the local strategies and plans in the markets. The central agency team also sets central strategic guidelines for the markets to follow, ensuring global consistency for the global brand campaigns, and oversees integration of centrally bought digital activities in performance, Social and programmatic with the local campaigns.
**RESPONSIBILITIES
**_ International coordination of media planning and strategy:_
- Client management: direct relationship with central client and central creative agencies, participate in all-agency and client status meetings
- Relations with local media agencies worldwide
- Coordination of information flow between local media agencies, central client and central creative agencies
- Evaluation of media strategies and planning to ensure consistency with central media guidelines
- Spend tracking, monitoring and analysis, supporting Finance with billing process
- Competitive data collection and reporting
- Supervision /collaboration with central planning and buying
- Creates and provides templates and ensures adherence to processes for the smooth and consistent running of a global account
**_Strategic guardianship:_
- The IMM work in collaboration with the Strategy Team and Client Lead in creating central guidelines according to the central brand positioning, target, business and communication objectives, and once approved, supports in rolling these out to the local markets, ahead of providing them with local briefs. Occasionally, there will be support of the Strategic Team for budget-setting using our proprietary tools.
- Provides a point of view on strategies (on and offline) and supports the Strategy Team in finalizing development and sharing of global trend documents and thought-pieces.
**_ Research and competitive management:_
- The IMM oversees their direct reports' data management of competitive spend reports and delivery to the central client, as well as collecting media /consumer landscapes and annual competitive brand reviews from the markets.
**About you - Skills and Experience required**:
- Fluent written and spoken English
- At least 5 years' experience ina Media Agency, preferably in International
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented
- Solutions-focused, with an ability to advise local markets and team members
- Active listener
- Good Excel knowledge (pivot table, advanced functions)
- Organization and guidance of progress
- Proactive and positive approach to guarantee team building
- People-management skills, with experience in nurturing and guiding direct reports
- Media planning and buying skills, preferably also international
- Strong presentation skills a bonus
