RINA is currently recruiting for an Internship - Bridge Designer to join its office in Genoa or Rozzano, Italy within the Division. Mission The candidate will join the team of Road and Bridge Design within the BU Infrastructure. Key Accountabilities The candidate will contribute to the activities related to the assessment of existing bridges with particular references to the application of the new Italian Guidelines for the assessment and monitoring of existing bridges. The focus of the activity will be the analyses of different aspects related to the assessment of existing bridges considering the Italian Guidelines, the NTC2018, and the Eurocode 8. Experience: Hold a MSc in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Design. Have basic knowledge of the Italian and International Technical Codes for bridge design (NTC2018, Eurocodes, American Codes). A master thesis developed in the specific field of the assessment of existing post-tensioned bridges will also be considered as an added value. Have knowledge in SAP2000 and Midas Civil. Have successfully passed exams in the following items: bridge design, seismic design, r. c. structures, steel structures. Have basic knowledge in English.
