Group/Division The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts. Job Description KLA is looking for a high-energy intern for several exciting projects in our Catania, Italy location. This opportunity will be a gateway to the KLA world to start a ground-breaking journey with one of the industry's leading semiconductor equipment companies: you will have the chance to better understand the Company and the multiple roles within it Specifically, this position provides an opportunity to contribute to the development of sub-components for KLA's inspection and metrology tools. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience, collaborate with top industry professionals, and unlock endless possibilities for growth. The candidate will be in charge of leading a project and proposing a new infrastructure to support our Field organization with the tooling used to calibrate and align complex semiconductor equipment. The scope of work will be: Acquire knowledge on tools operation and application Acquire skills in order to perform preventive maintenance Follow initial tools life-cycle in the field (Installation and acceptance test) Data gathering and log file analyses to find proactively possible gaps or issues Process improvement If you want to shape the future of technology and drive meaningful impact in the world, this is the best moment to join us The internship will be based in Catania with a duration of about 10 weeks. Qualifications/Education Desired The successful candidate should have taken classes in engineering. The candidate should have strong analytical capabilities, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. They must demonstrate perseverance and the ability to work collaboratively with individuals across different functions and locations, as needed.
