**THE INTERNSHIP

You will have the chance to enter in contact with the pharmaceutical industry in a very dynamic and challenging environment: with this internship you will join the Ethics & Compliance team within the Legal & Compliance department of Boehringer Ingelheim in Milan.

The Ethics & Compliance Team is dedicated to protecting the reputation of BI and focuses on 7 areas: Healthcare Compliance, Anti-bribery, Antitrust, Data Protection, Insider Trading, Anti-discrimination and Human Rights.

It also supports the Senior Management and the Surveillance Bodies of the Italian legal entities of BI in the implementation of the Organizational, Management and Control Model provided by the Italian Law Decree nr.

231/2001 - rules and regulations both from a local and global perspective.

You will have the opportunity to learn among all these areas supporting professionals at both the local and global level - definitely something new to learn every day!

**Tasks & what you will be learning**:

- Carrying out Due Diligence (screenings) of BI Third Parties (suppliers, distributors, wholesalers, sales agents, ), to detect Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) and other compliance risks;

- Supporting the execution of audits and other monitoring activities;

- Contributing to improve the Data Analytics approach in the execution of the Compliance Program;

- Supporting the preparation of Compliance trainings to BI employees and Third Parties;

- Developing and updating Compliance communication tools (e. g.

Intranet, Website, ).

- Reviewing and approving initiatives involving Healthcare Professionals (e. g.

physicians, pharmacists, nurses, etc.

), Healthcare Organizations (e. g.

hospitals, scientific societies, etc.

), Patients Organizations and Veterinarians making sure that they comply with applicable laws, Industry Codes and BI procedures;

- Reviewing and updating Compliance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Working Instructions (WIs);

**Requirements**:

- Current student or recently graduated preferably in Business Administration or Law

- Basic knowledge of the Italian Law Decree n. 231/2001

- Basic knowledge/experience in Project Management would be considered a plus

- Microsoft Office Package literate

- Excellent command of the English language and native level of Italian language

- Strong team working and communication skills

- You drive execution excellence through discipline, accountability and proactivity

- You are confident in working simultaneously on multiple projects
