YOUR ROLE 

The selected candidate will conduct a detailed screening of various test IPs, assessing the impact of employing machine learning (ML) tools to enhance their physical implementation.

The evaluation will focus on improvements in Power, Performance, and Area (PPA) while balancing the Turnaround Time (TAT).

As an intern, you will join the SQH - SCDC team, which is responsible for developing Technology Platform Qualification Vehicles (TPQVs):

Your primary task will be to evaluate the application of ML tools during the Place and Route (PnR) phase, specifically examining internally standardized test IPs commonly deployed in TPQVs.

You will work closely with other engineers to understand the test IPs requirements and provide them with your assessments and detailed reports.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

Pursuing a master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.  

Basic understanding of PnR flow phases, including Floorplanning, Placement, Clock Tree Synthesis, Routing, and Timing Closure.

Familiarity in scripting languages such as C Shell (csh) and TCL.

Familiarity with PnR design tools.

Fluent in English communication.

Basic French is appreciated.
