The resource will be part of the predictive materials testing team based at the R&D Headquarter in Milan.

The team's primary mission is to lead numerical modeling and experimental approaches for the prediction of wear and friction material behavior.

The results produced by the team maintain a huge impact in the overall estimation of the product's final grip and mileage performance.

The resource will support the team by guiding complex experimental and/or computational research activities supported by their expertise, developing new test methodologies, processing and in-depth data analysis, drafting reports and technical notes/presentations for internal stakeholders.

**The resource will be responsible for the following tasks**:

- Daily support in all possible experimental R&D activities;

- Development of new laboratory tests or measurement procedures;

- Support to the predictive test team with advanced data/statistics analysis of the experimental activities;

- Python coding for data processing/data visualization;

- Reporting activities and know-how sharing;

- Maintaining the archive of historical data and results;

**Required skills and experience**:

- Passionate about materials research and daily R&D activity, open-minded and proactive in looking at new unknown challenges, able to work in Team;

- Master's Degree in Materials Science/Physics/Materials Engineering/Mechanical Engineering;

- Fluent in English;

- Excellent knowledge of MS Office package;

- Good knowledge of data analysis/statistical software such as JMP, OriginPro, Igor Wavemetrics, R or Matlab (at least one);

**Preferred Skills**:

- Previous experience in research laboratories will be considered a plus;

- Numerical coding skills for result processing/data mining/data visualization, experience with Python and Matlab will be considered a plus.
