Mensen met een Missie is an organisation for international cooperation and solidarity that aims to change beliefs that lead to hatred and violence.

To do this, we support ± 100 partner organisations in Africa, Asia and Latin America: people who dare to go against the current, who stick their necks out and stand up for justice, inclusion and equality.

Together we facilitate dialogue between people on each side of a conflict.

We inspire consideration and discussion of harmful beliefs, so that mutual hatred and mistrust can decrease.

Our team in The Hague consists of about 35 people who work daily with passion and commitment, on building a world without violence. Mensen met een Missie has Catholic missionary roots.

Within the organization you will find people with a keen eye for others; diversity, equity and inclusion areimportant for us.

The organisation consists of three teams (Programmes; Marketing & Communication; Finance & Operations) and a total of 35 people.

Internship Programmes

Duration negotiable with a minimum of 4 months

32 hours/week

As an intern at Mensen met een Missie you will learn extensively about working within an international development organisation.

You will be part of the team efforts, you will equally be challenged to manage some assignments independently and you'll be in the position to actively contribute to our work in the different continents.

For the upcoming internship the focus will specifically be on analysing project proposals and reports; on programme-based fundraising and communication; and on supporting programme managers in their project cycle management.

Your profile Enrolled in a University or recently graduated. Highly enthusiastic about development work, peacebuilding and gender equalityExcellent writing skillsCritical analytical skillsAbility to work independently and in a teamgood oral and written command of Dutch and/or English, supplemented with command of Spanish and / or FrenchKnowledge of development cooperation and project managementKnowledge of and affinity with the context in Africa, Asia and / or Latin AmericaAffinity with the identity and objectives of Mensen met een Missie. The internship allowance is a maximum of € 500 gross per month.

Travel expenses are reimbursed.
