BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DIVISION
GENERAL INFORMATION- Title of Post: Tech Intern- Supervisor: Technical Project Manager- Unit: Private Partnerships division - Individual Giving Team- Country: Italy- Duty Station: Rome/Italy- Duration of internship: 8 months- Expected Start Date: tentative February 2025
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist with testing and approval of updates to the software components comprising the WFP fundraising software architecture including the donation platform, CRM, and other components. - Assist with manual testing of the donation platform including verification of the visual styling, checking of the supported payment methods, country and language support, and other aspects of the donation platform. - Assist with building a portfolio of automated tests of the donation platform using automated test tool. - Assist with testing the donation flows through the overall donation platform, including the donation platform, CRM and data warehouse. - Triage and evaluate problems encountered during testing or during routine operation, of the fundraising platform, to support the overall team in efficient resolution of issues. - Develop fundraising platform performance and monitoring reports (gathering, organizing and presenting data). - Complete data monitoring/auditing processes (follow up daily/weekly reports, duplicate checks, reconciliation of data, imports, exports, etc.
)- Attend meetings and webinars on relevant topics as available. - Support the Software Project Manager and the Product Manager with special projects or assignments and undertake additional responsibilities as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE-
- University course attendance in the past 12 months.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Desirable- Experience in fundraising (particularly in Individual Giving or Supporter Care)
Required soft skills- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel - use of formulas, pivot tables etc.
)- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Basic technical skills in web technologies including:
- HTML, CSS and JavaScript to build functional visual pages
- GTM and data layers
- APs and integration of platforms
- Databases and queries- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills;- Ability to plan and organize work with reasonable supervision;- Ability to take initiative to solve problems and seek solutions;- Work effectively in a multi-cultural environment and international organization;- Demonstrate ability to quickly shift from one task to another to meet multiple support needs;- Uses tact and courtesy to give and receive information with a variety of individuals (people oriented);- Motivated team spirit and contributed to an inclusive and sound working environment (team player).
WORKING LANGUAGES
Excellent written and spoken English is required (proficiency/level C).

Depending on opportunities and availability of funds, he/she may participate in WFP workshops or seminars, as appropriate.
