Position Summary

Inventory, regardless sales purpose or sample purpose, is one of the biggest part of the company financial asset.

This position is a key role in Supply Chain Logistics of Samsung, making the heathy fundamental for our business.

Being the owner of inventory control process of goods (sales purpose / sample purpose / marketing POP), s/he will oversee the sample/POP process and inventory controlling process, making sure of logistics function aligned to the company strategies & rules.

S/he will also be the owner of the clearance process of the off-grade inventory or non-efficient inventory, dealing with internal stakeholders as well as external players.

**Role and Responsibilities

**Key Responsibilities**:

**(Inventory control)

- Monitor the inventory accuracy, and conduct periodic inventory counting with the relevant team or 3PL, report the result, find the root causes for any gap and to improve, to make sure the inventory is constantly accurate.

- Detect the weakness of process for the inventory gap, and conduct improvement project, collaborating with 3PL /4PL as well as with internal stakeholders.

**(Abnormal inventory)

- Review and report regularly the inventory efficiency (bad stock / abnormal inventory / off grade inventory), and make a strategy/plan for clearance, and follow up the process.

- Detect any bottleneck or process weakness for abnormal inventory / off-grade inventory process, and improve them.

- Being the owner of off-grade sales process, select the external buyers or 3PL and conduct the periodic bidding to clear out off-grade goods, in line with the rule/regulation, for faster clearance and for better profit.

- Make sure that scrap activities are conducted in line with the company rule and with the governmental regulation.

**(Sample / POP)

- Monitor the sample inventory accuracy, and conduct periodic inventory counting with the relevant team or 3PL, report the result, find the root causes for any gap and to improve, to make sure the inventory is constantly accurate.

- Being the owner of Sample/POP process, monitor and improve the end-to-end process from sample/POP receipt at warehouse, distribution to stores/customers/internal employees, withdraw back to warehouse, until the end of sample/POP life (scrap).

- Design and build the system and the process to visualize where the individual samples/POP is located, who / when.

- Ensure the sample/POPs are used in compliant way with company rule, monitoring and conducting internal audit.

- Make sure that scrap activities are conducted in line with the company rule and with the governmental regulation.

- Participate in the RFQ or in the tariff negotiation with 3PL, together with European Contract & Pricing team, to select right vendors for service quality and for better price.

**(Qualtiy and Cost management)

- Assess periodically (annually) processes, following the HQ policy and guideline.

Plan and conduct the corrective actions to fix misalignment.

- Build dashboard and monitor/detect abnormal status of performance and cost in the competency area.

- Conduct regular meetings with 3PL/4PL to review performance, VOC follow-up progress, project status.

**Skills and Qualifications

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

**(Education)

- Master / Bachelor in Industrial Engineering (management engineering), Logistics, Supply Chain.

**(Experience)

- Proven track record in logistics field, incl.

transportation, warehousing, reverse logistics, logistics process/system, 3PL/4PL management, contract & cost control.

- Project management / 6 Sigma experience preferred.

- Experience in coordinating internal and external service providers

**(Skills)

- Profound analytical skills and ability to work with details; Microsoft Excel is essential

- Experience with databases and reporting

- Willing to dig into detail to find root causes (5 Why)

- Quality improvement skills : 6 sigma or lean Kaizen preferred

- Problem solving skills

- Process design

- Strong communication & Stakeholder management skills

- Language : Fluent English & Italian
