Job Description Summary:
Investment Risk Specialist
**Job Description**:
Within the Risk Management Department and reporting to the Director, the position will be responsible for supervising a junior resource and for leading the work (project risks assessment) with key internal and external business partners, using best-in-class project risk management methodologies and tools, with the aim to identify, assess and provide sound analysis and recommendations to support the Asset Development Committee's decision-making.
**Responsibilities**:
- Define, implement and continuously improve a framework made by best-in-class methodologies, processes and tools to establish effective Project Risks Management practices, integrating quantitative and qualitative risk analysis tools during the whole project life cycle (e. g. , check-list and risk register, Montecarlo and Sensitivity Models, root cause analysis and lesson learnt database);
- Perform ad hoc Risk Analysis for all the projects under development and construction.
It includes a detailed review of the Due Diligence reports, project assumptions used in the financial model and other relevant project documents, aiming to create and update the project risk register, in coordination with all the focal points involved in the Project Management Team;
- Monitor the risk exposures trends of Portfolio Projects, leading dedicated Risk Reviews to support the Project Management Team and other functions involved, in their activities of risks identification and mitigation.

- Prepare the Portfolio Risk Reports, arising awareness on projects current exposure, risk classification into areas & categories, main project at risk and trends to support the Asset Development Committee decision-making process
- Lead initiatives aimed to strengthen risk culture among the different Project Teams, providing training courses with focus on guidelines and experiences (Lessons Learnt and root cause analysis)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in project risk management within the renewables landscape
- Previous experience in Asset Management, Finance or Business Development is highly appreciated and knowledge of Offshore Wind Projects will be a plus;
- Bachelor's Degree engineering disciplines with proven knowledge of Renewable Energy Sector and different risk landscapes may affect projects around EU and US regions (Regulatory Risks, Permitting Risks, Engineering and Construction risks, PPA and off-taker risks, Operational Risks, etc)
- Quantitative, financial modeling and analytical skills with a strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership of the work output
- Excellent coordination and cooperation skills; a team player who is willing and able to work with others to solve problems and share knowledge.
- Highly proactive to manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously with ability to summarize and rationalize complex issues.
- RMP (Risk Management Professional) Certification or Project Management Master's is highly appreciated.
