Job DescriptionINFN-LNS is seeking a highly motivated physicist or engineer to join its research team in the field of ion sources, with a specific focus on Electron Cyclotron Resonance Ion Sources (ECRIS).

The successful candidate will be involved in cutting-edge RD activities aimed at improving the performance and understanding of ECRIS technologies for nuclear physics and interdisciplinary applications. EligibilityApplicants must hold an Italian or equivalent Master-level degree in Physics or Engineering obtained not earlier than 6 years before the call deadline. The time limit of 6 years since the awarding of the Master-level degree, if requested, may be extended in the caseof Maternity, Paternity or Long-term illness. QualificationsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Knowledge of numerical simulation tools (e. g. , COMSOL, MATLAB, or PIC codes) is a plus. Hands-on experience with experimental setups, including high-voltage and RF systems, is highly desiderable.
