It Cost Manager
Banca Generali is a leading company in Italy in private banking, able to offer its customers the best strategies for effective financial planning using a network of private consultants at the top of the sector in terms of skills and professionalism, is looking for an experienced IT Cost Manager for its Milan site.
The IT & Operations Department is responsible for coordinating and optimizing - including the use of outsourcing services - all operational activities in order to provide effective and functional operational support to Customers and Distribution Networks.
The resource must ensure cost management processes are in place and take the co-ordinating lead, working closely with the IT services referents to plan cost and purchase services against IT budget.
The resource should lead cost targeting and benchmarking activities to achieve the lowest service costs and support implementation of cost reduction opportunities.
Deliver support for supplier negotiations.
He is responsible of collecting the offers from the suppliers and, once verified the cost is budgeted, of activating the purchase process to raise a purchase order for the supplier.
He has to plan the annual budget for run and change activies and monitoring the actual cost.
The resource will provide strategic and operational information and reports to share with Department Management and others Departments.
The resource should support supplier meetings and negotiations to challenge quotation prices and aim for cost reductions to meet target costs
Must have:
- Relevant business/commercial degree is preferred
- Significant experience of cost estimating or finance in preferably the Finance industry
- Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including advanced Excel skills
- Experience of using spreadsheets and complex cost models and cost management tools
- Experience of delivering results through cross-functional working
- High degree of knowledge and understanding of a variety of Financial processes and IT services and ability to evaluate and analyse associated costs
Nice to have:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
- Work in conjunction with and engage with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate and implement cost engineering activities in the business
