It Manager (F/M/X), Rome
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Manager to join our team within Orient Express Hotels in Rome and Venice.
With a commitment to providing unparalleled service and a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of technology and innovation within our hotel operations.
Reporting directly to the Area General Manager and in dotted line to Group IT, the IT Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration and optimal functioning of information technology systems within our luxury hotels.
The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of all IT infrastructures, including networks, servers, software applications, and security protocols.
Additionally, he/she will collaborate with various departments to enhance operational efficiency through technology solutions, contributing to the overall success of our luxury hospitality establishment.
Key Responsibilities: IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the hotel's IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.
Manage servers, networks, and communication systems to support daily operations and future growth.
Software Solutions: Evaluate, select, and implement software applications that enhance guest experiences, streamline operations, and improve overall efficiency.
Collaborate with vendors to ensure the integration of industry-leading software solutions tailored to the luxury hospitality sector.
Data Security and Compliance: Develop and enforce robust data security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and inspire the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Provide training and professional development opportunities for IT staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Collaboration with Hotel Departments: Work closely with Hotel's departments to understand their technology needs and provide effective solutions.
Implement technology strategies that align with the overall business objectives and enhance the guest experience.
Additional Responsibilities: Manage the annual IT budget, ensuring cost efficiency, in accordance with the Company budget.
Perform auditing activities on the system, generating performance audit reports.
Ensure that all IT activities are performed and managed in response to the needs of different users, in compliance with current legislation and business procedures.
Propose and implement Cyber Security actions, procedures, and strategies with a view to preventing cyber threats and crimes.
Draft guidelines, protocols, and functional procedures.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in IT management within the luxury hospitality or related industry.
Strong knowledge of hotel management systems, property management systems, and point-of-sale systems.
Expertise in data security, network infrastructure, and cloud computing.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
