Primark, an international Fashion Retail company with 15 stores in Italy and more than 4, 000 collaborators, continues its expansion by opening new stores in the coming months.

We are looking for our next Payroll Manager!
**Purpose of role**:
- This is a critical and senior role in Primark's payroll organisation, with responsibility for paying all employees in Italy and driving payroll change strategies in the market.
- To ensure the accurate and timely delivery of Primark payrolls in Italy, support and deliver payroll centralisation and P&C learning materials in-country to enhance payroll partnering and outputs.
- Provide leadership, detailed support and development to a busy payroll team processing the Italy payroll and collaborate with International Payroll Managers to roll out global payroll standardisation.
**Key Responsibilities***:
- Manage a team of 3-5 members responsible for paying all Italian employees.
- Ensure that payroll related payments are processed accurately and transmitted on time.
- Ensure that the company's obligations on legal requirements such as year-end reporting and certifications, etc.
are met and carried out in accordance with legislation and pension rules.
- Managing personnel cost analysis and personnel cost controlling activities.
- Liaise with software developers and IT in relation to any issues and enhancements.
- Main point of contact with governing, statutory bodies, internal and external stakeholders.
- Pro-actively updating stakeholders of possible fiscal legislative changes on labour aspect.
- Working closely with the International Payroll Manager to standardise payroll processes and align to the global approach.
- Implement and support payroll centralisation in in Italy, in a timely and organised manner.
- Deliver P&C learning programme in Italy to enhance our partnerships and data quality across international payrolls.
- Working closely with the INTL payroll teams to drive standardisation of process and process documentation.
**Experience, Skills & Competencies**:
- At least 10 or more years of payroll experience with at least 5 or more years' experience of managing multiple staff.
- Experience in payroll compliance practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate to advanced level capability in Excel.
- Ability to identify and fulfil support requirements in a large team.
- Ability to make decisions and drive through change.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, develop and interact well with team members.
- Organizational and time management skills in managing multiple, diverse and sometimes conflicting priorities.
