Job PurposeUnder the supervision of a Senior Project Manager, the Project Coordinator is a key member of a Project Management team, working closely with Technical Services and Linguists. The Project Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day project activities based on predefined production requirements and communicated project scope. Tasks may include but are not limited to: project set up, scheduling, quote preparation, project file organization, placing tasks with linguists, Quality Assurance, and on-time client communication/delivery.
The Project Coordinator will actively participate in internal team meetings to discuss open and emerging business issues for assigned projects and make recommendations for improvements.
Job OverviewKey Responsibilities: Support team with regards to client requirements, needs and requests such as asset management, reporting, and meetingsEngage in standard quote preparationLaunch and coordinate standard projects which includes functions such as scheduling, resource allocation, and work assignmentsPerform administrative duties which include project closures, Translation Memory updates and folder structure maintenanceKeep project schedules on track and ensure on-time deliveryEnsure projects are completed within budgetCreate and send POs to external resourcesEnsure project resources have the necessary tools and information to accomplish tasksAlert resources of schedule or scope changesSupport project team members as necessary to perform and complete daily project tasksSkills & Experience: One to three years of hands-on experience coordinating projects within the localization or translation industryDemonstrated successful customer service experience, generally a minimum of one year Computing skillsPreferable experience with TRADOS or other translation management tools (CAT, or Computer Aided Translation tools)Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentAbility to prioritize and coordinate and maintain composure under pressureQuality focus and detail orientedFluent communication skills of written and verbal EnglishAbility to report work orally and in writing as requiredAbility to understand, apply and use personal computers and software applications (e. g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, CAT Tools, Office 365/Teams, CRM or other production software)Ability to resolve customer service and production issues in a professional and efficient mannerFour-year college degree or equivalent in Business, English, Foreign Language, Social or Applied Sciences, or other related fieldLife at RWSAt RWS, we're here for one purpose: unlocking global understanding.
