ABOUT THE ROLE We are currently looking for a motivated Junior Accountant in our Accounting Department in Rome. The successful candidate will join an existing team and report to the Accounting Head of the Department. He/She will support the daily activities of the department by preparing general ledger entries for the Italian companies of the group in compliance with tax regulations and company policies and procedures.

In this role, you will deliver a variety of tasks such as: General ledger transactions General support to the office organization (organizing and maintaining administrative and account papers, electronic files, and documentation) Bank postings Performing bank reconciliations Preparation of intercompany recharge invoices and reconciliation of intercompany balances Assisting with the quarterly accounting closing Ensuring that accounting and VAT records are maintained in accordance with accepted policies and procedures Accounts payable and receivable Credit card expenditures control and registration Infra-annual tax compliance EXPERIENCE AND RELEVANT SKILLS The successful candidate should have:

A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in general accounting Accounts payable and receivable experience Basic knowledge of International Accounting Standards Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and as a plus: Microsoft Business Central / Tagetik Knowledge of the Shipping sector will be considered a plus Independent use of English language in a working environment, particularly in English technical/accounting Motivated person, flexible, proactive, and strong ability to work in a team Good interpersonal and effective communication skills Time management skills Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy d'Amico is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all relevantly qualified applicants are considered without any discrimination.
