Nature and aim of the positionThe holder of this position reports to Local Finance and Administration Manager and he/she is responsible for reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. Main duties and responsibilitiesVerify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivableProduce error-free accounting reports and present their resultsAnalyse financial information and summarize financial statusSpot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spendingProvide technical support and advice on Management Accountant. Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and proceduresParticipate in financial standards setting and in forecast processProvide input into department's goal setting processAssist with tax audits and tax returnsDirect internal and external audits to ensure compliancePlan, assign and review staff's workSupport month-end and year-end close processDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsAll other local administration related matters. Reporting and collaborationReporting:Local Finance and Administration ManagerCooperates with:Administration shared service centre in Vienna; Merchant Services Sales TeamHR TeamSpecific skills and knowledgeStrong excel skills;MS Office knowledge;Good English levelAbility to multi task and meet deadlines;Work independently to complete assignmentsThorough knowledge of basic accounting proceduresIn-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Awareness of business trendsFamiliarity with financial accounting statementsExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail a mustEducation and qualificationsUniversity degree on Economics, Accounting and or Finance;1 to 3 years' work experience in similar position;Proved experience of local statutory accounting is a must;Strong team player;Autonomous and independent, goal-oriented and self-motivating personality.
