If there's a compliance breach, be the first responder. Ensure an effective risk assessment and management process, including identifying potential risks, assessing their likelihood and impact, developing customized mitigation plans, and tracking mitigation effectiveness. Draft and lead a SOX compliance program, overseeing internal control evaluations and testing to ensure adherence to regulations. Provide regular updates to senior management highlighting the effectiveness of the compliance program, risks, and trends. Train fellow Spooners on compliance-related topics.
