Reporting to the Footwear Development and Industrialisation Manager, the Junior Footwear Developer is responsible for the development of footwear collections in collaboration with partner manufacturers, respecting timelines, budgets and aesthetic and technical requirements.
How will you make an impact? You will monitor the development programme in cooperation with the footwear development and industrialisation manager and the manufacturers. You will launch and monitor prototypes, from initial design to the delivery of prototypes, in collaboration with internal colleagues (studio style and developers) and external manufacturers. You will constantly review costs, in order to notice any constraints or pricing problems and suggest corrective actions. You will support the industrialisation team in product development. How will you experience success with us?
You will possess: Previous experience in a similar position, with the ability to demonstrate a good technical knowledge of women's footwear. PLM experience. Work location needs to allow you to be in Marche region approx.
70% of your time. Need to travel across Italy to visit manufacturers and to Paris to liaise with Alaïa HQ. Driving licence required. Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Resilient to stress and adaptable to frequent changes. Problem solver and quick thinker. Able to keep the project on track. Fluent in Italian and English. What makes our group different?
