Position: Junior Geotechnical EngineerLocation: Milan Office
Your Role:Project Engineer, supporting our Infrastructure and Structural teams on a range of projects in Italy and abroad. Planning, supervising, and reporting on ground investigations. Preparation of specifications and design reports. Design of foundations, retaining structures, underground structures, slope stability, and earthworks for a wide range of building and infrastructure projects. Communicating design solutions and advice to a range of technical and non-technical audiences. Understanding trends and best practices in the ground engineering industry and contributing to geotechnical research, collaborating with Arup Skills Networks, universities, and/or research partners. Communicating effectively in written and verbal presentation formats. Engaging with Arup global Ground Engineering Network. Requirements:Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent; Membership with a relevant professional body (Ordine degli Ingegneri), acquired or in the process of being acquired. Good interpersonal and communication skills (including formal and informal presentations, written communications, and reports) essential for team-based working. Interest and ability in digital space 3D modelling, scripting, or GIS would be an advantage. Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Flexibility to travel.
