In Saporalia we have the mission to bring Italian Gourmet Food all over the World and year after year, country after country, we are doing it.
Our target Customers with this Brand are only and exclusively food Importers and Distributors based in all over the World
We work with about 70 Italian artisan laboratories and have about 1000 different references: truffle products, appetizers, sauces, gourmet pasta, cheeses, cured meats, desserts.
We like to innovate and together with our laboratories, we create innovative foods that give us more opportunities to acquire new Customers faster.
Our products are present in numerous shops, supermarkets, ecommerce, hotels, restaurants, catering and duty free shops in France, India, Vietnam, Taiwan, Slovakia, Denmark, United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Guyana, Kosovo, Kenya, Singapore, Jordan, Switzerland, etc
Practically with Saporalia we take care of supplying the famous Made in Italy that the whole World adores, Gourmet food products that is loved by people from all over the Globe

But let's get back to us: what kind of profile are we looking for?
We are looking for a junior profile who likes to interact (mostly via phone and videocall, sometimes face-to-face) with food industry professionals from all over the World.
If you think you feel comfortable talking (and managing negotiations) with food Importers and Distributors from all over the World (who may even be 20 or 30 years older than you), then read the following carefully
You will have to deal with Sales activities and you can do it from wherever you want.
No office presence is required, only the results count.
Sometimes (once or twice a year) it will be necessary to go around the World to participate in some fairs or to visit Clients and Prospects, but most of the time you will decide where to work from.
We should also specify that 2 or 3 times a year we meet with the Team for face-to-face meetings, but excluding this, what is written in the previous sentence applies
We will give you all the tools, information, training and anything else to be able to do your job at its best and be able to perform!
Will it be easy?
Absolutely not!
But it will be challenging and fun, if you are the right person!
This job is not for everyone.
You will have to deal with every type of culture in the World (and we are not exaggerating!
), so you must really like it!
You will have to remember that
- if you propose to make a call to someone who lives in Singapore there are 7 hours ahead respect to Italy and when you propose a timing you already have to calculate what time will be there at the moment of the call
- if you talk to somebody in Santiago de Chile, they are 6 hours behind
- if you talk to Prospects and Clients from some Countries and/or Religions there are some foods that it is advisable not to mention, while going through the catalogue
- we need to wish all our Indian contacts Happy Diwali around the end of October/beginning of November
- give Best wishes for a good start and then a good end of Ramadan to our Muslim contacts
- etc, etc, the World is Big and very various
But don't worry!
We will take care of teaching you these things!
You just have to possess (and use) your passion for it, I mean that you really have to like interacting, empathizing, building relationships with potential Customers.
If you like this you will have great results in Saporalia!

You will have to take notes, many notes, because this job is so various, it will be the only way to remember all the details of the chats you will have with Clients and Prospects!
And remembering those details (because you took notes!
), when you talk to them again, will make all the difference!
You will have a constant flow of potential Customers (= Prospects) profiled by us, in fact thanks to our continuous Marketing activities we have 10-15 leads every week who ask to be called back for more information; this means that you will have to interact with people who already know Saporalia, who have been "educated" by our Marketing and expect exactly what you are going to offer as they have asked for details on specific products and/or other various information; this doesn't mean that those people are eager to talk to you, but that at least you won't have to contact them through "cold calls" OK this is the job and profile description and we hope it is very clear
We are looking for a person who has (these are requirements also referred to as soft skills)
- the normal habit of being cheerful, enthusiastic, ironic: even if our work remains serious, we can do it better through fun
- education and empathy: able to create a LONG-LASTING RELATIONSHIP with the Customers.
