Role Description The candidate will be involved in designing and developing new Internet of Things (IoT) systems, with a specific focus on electronic prototyping and programming and supporting the team on the entire IoT pipeline (data ingestion and analysis).

Responsibilities will include supporting the R&D of functional prototypes for IoT devices, starting from the selection of hardware components (sensors, microcontrollers, development boards) to the realization of prototypes of electronic circuits and firmware, to send data to the inferential engine (cloud/on-premises) and lab tests.

The candidate will actively participate in national and international research projects, collaborating on the development of innovative IoT solutions for applications in safety, industry, and sports science.

In addition to prototyping, the intern will support the development team in data collection and analysis.

Qualifications and Technical Skills We are looking for someone with a solid technical foundation and a strong willingness to learn.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge in:

Supporting designing and building electronic circuits for IoT devices. Programming microcontrollers and developing firmware using C-like languages. Integrating sensors and actuators into embedded systems. Managing IoT data, from acquisition to visualization, using cloud tools and dedicated software. Participating in lab experiments to test and validate prototypes, analyzing their performance, and proposing improvements. Other useful skills:

Data management in terms of storage, processing, and analysis, understanding of cybersecurity principles. Good knowledge of:Operating systems such as Linux. Platforms for hardware prototyping for IoT devices (e. g. , Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.

). Understanding of the fundamentals of machine learning and artificial intelligence, and cloud computing services such as Azure. Personal characteristics Curiosity and interest in creative problem solving in the IoT and Wearable fields. Willingness to work in multidisciplinary teams with enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, and focus on communication and idea sharing. Proactivity in tackling new technical challenges.
