Junior It Specialist
The IES Abroad Milano IT Specialist job is a full-time position.
The IT Specialist is responsible for installations and upgrades on company's computers, tablets, and smartphones as well as classrooms IT equipment. He/she will also provide our staff with training on using hardware, software, and cloud-based services.
To ensure success an IT Specialist should display the strong technical aptitude needed to help staff and faculty solve their technical issues as quickly as possible. Ultimately, an outstanding IT coordinator should be able to thrive in the rapidly changing industry of information technology.
**IT Specialist Responsibilities**:
- Managing and maintaining a company's technological equipment, such as computers, tablets, and smartphones.
- Installing, upgrading, and managing software and hardware on company devices.
- Managing all software licensing.
- Keeping an inventory of all company electronic assets.
- Providing staff and faculty with training on how to use hardware, software, and cloud-based services.
- Creating instructions for program installation sequences.
- Performing backups and restoring lost data as needed.
- Evaluating and recommending software purchases to the Center Director.
- Manage and upgrade the classrooms' IT equipment and intervene in case of technical issues and when asked by staff and faculty.
**IT Specialist Requirements**:
- University IT Student or Higher degree in information technology, computer technology, or a similar field.
- Expertise in IT tools and concepts, such as operating systems and internet protocol suites.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations.
- Expertise in configuring and managing Apple iOS and Android devices.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical personnel.
- English fluency
The IES Abroad Milano IT Specialist may also need to cover various other duties and responsibilities within the general framework of IES Abroad services and cultural activities.
He/She will participate in cultural programming throughout the semester (Orientation program, special events, emergency services and drills, staff meeting and farewell concert and dinners), and serve as chaperone on IES Abroad sponsored field trips.
The IES Abroad Milano IT Specialist will report to the IES Abroad Milano HR Manager and to the Center Director, respecting and implementing policies as determined.
Contratto di lavoro: Tempo pieno, Part-time, Tempo determinato
Durata contratto: 6 mesi
Retribuzione: Fino a €26. 000, 00 all'anno
