MissionThe Junior Floaters Engineer is an entry-level position within the Floaters Engineering team, responsible for assisting senior colleagues in various technical engineering activities related to design, verification, and certification relevant to the area of competence.
This role provides valuable support in engineering studies, design activities, technical documentation, and project management. Key AccountabilitiesEngineering Studies and Analyses: Assist in developing engineering studies and analyses relevant to vessels, floating structures, and terminals, including both brown and green field. Design and Engineering Consulting: Participate in design and engineering consulting activities at various levels (feasibility studies, concept selection, basic design, FEED, cost estimation). Discipline related activities: Support in developing motion, mooring, and maneuvering analyses. Client and Project Team Interface: Assist in reviewing client technical documents during the bidding phase and support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals. Technical Documentation and Standards: Review client technical documentation and requirements, ensuring the adequacy of technical documentation and contributing to updating relevant standards. Subcontracted Discipline Control: Assist in controlling subcontracted discipline engineering documents. Technical Problem Resolution: Assist Senior Engineers in solving technical problems arising during projects. Project Design Changes Implementation: Ensure the implementation of project design changes and provide relevant progress information to the Senior Colleagues. Discipline Analyses and Reports: Perform/verify all discipline analyses and calculation reports. Client/Certifying Body Interaction: Verify and act upon remarks from the client/certifying body. Document Updates: Update documents based on comments issued by other disciplines or external stakeholders (clients, yards, third-party reviews, etc.
). Technical Papers and Guidelines: Cooperate in the preparation of technical papers, rules, and guidelines. Reporting: Report to the Senior Colleagues and line Manager, providing updates on assigned tasks and project progress. EducationMaster's Degree in Naval Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Qualifications0-2 years of relevant experience in maritime and offshore engineering projects, ideally through internships or entry-level positions.
Basic understanding of FEM analysis techniques and relevant software.
Familiarity with CAD software for layout design (e. g. , AutoCAD).
