THE ROLE You will be working in a multi-disciplinary group, where people with different backgrounds collaborate, each with their own expertise, to support IIT research activity.

The Technology Transfer Directorate is coordinated by Lorenzo De Michieli, who has extensive experience in Intellectual Property, licensing, start-up, and technology transfer. Your main responsibilities will be:

Technical understanding of the invention disclosures received from IIT's researchers to identify potentially patentable subject-matterPrior art searches to assess the patentability of IIT's technologiesClose collaboration with inventors and patent attorneys to draft and file patent applications in Italy and abroadSupport to the assessment of the economic value of IIT's IP assetsSupport to the design of strategies for the protection and exploitation of IIT's Intellectual PropertyESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS A Master's degree in Medical Science, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or related fields. Fluent command of spoken and written Italian and EnglishProficiency with the main IT software packages, including Word and ExcelTeam player with highly organized time management and problem-solving skills to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentCommitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and complianceADDITIONAL SKILLS Experience in nanoparticles and DNA/RNA technologies is an advantage. Ability to work in a challenging and international environmentCapacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environmentPossess analytical reasoning skills and a growth mindsetCOMPENSATION PACKAGE A yearly gross salary ranging between 26. 000 and 31. 000, which may include a bonus option depending on your role and contractPrivate health care coverage depending on your role and contractTwo days of teleworking per week and flexible working hours are available for certain rolesCandidate holding a bachelor's or master's degree who have not been resident in Italy in the last 3 years and move back to Italy to start any work activity, and meet specific requirements, can benefit from a 50% deduction on their income.
