Key Activities / MeasurablesActivitiesSafetyEnsure safe working practices are developed and maintained within area of responsibility and strive towards a goal of zero injuries. Perform safety observations during plant visits and share findings and recommendations with plant leadership team.

Complete behavioral discussions per month and review results with plant leadership team. Encourage the reporting of close calls. Main tasksDevelop, implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators driving continuous improvement. Work with plant employees to establish standard operating procedures (S. O. P. )

and standard operating controls (S. O. C) to provide long-term sustainable improvements in the quality of products and services. Focus on maximizing productivity and profit, ensuring that the plant manufactures output to plan as cost effectively as possible, ensuring quality standards are achieved and consistently maintained. Utilize Six Sigma to enhance productivity, reduce scraps, improve quality and enhance the work environment. Develop annual goals and objectives for process improvement and manage them according to operational plans. Lead productivity and process improvement projects and prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions. Take part in the execution of Continuous Improvement Management methodologies. Work closely with production Supervisors and Machine Leaders and help them to develop skills and competencies in using new tools and sustain improved processes. Work with Quality Coordinator to identify/qualify/implement product improvements that meet customer expectations, with a specific target on losses reduction. SPS (Sonoco Performance system / TPM)Drive SPS implementation. Have a key role in Pillar as part of Focus Improvement (FI) methodologies. MeasurablesProductivity targets. KPI's, including but not limited to OEE, scrap, set-ups and minor stops.
