Job Opportunity: Junior R&D Specialist

**Summary**:

Join our R&D division at our Treviso location and become a vital part of our team.

As a Junior R&D Specialist, you will delve into various areas such as functional textures, additive manufacturing, polymer molding via injection press, and mechanical processing.

You'll be involved in a multidisciplinary environment, conducting studies, tests, and characterizations related to the two special projects, and support in other R&D activities.

**Essential Duties**:

- Conduct literature studies

- Design experiments

- Operate laser engraving machines, injection mold machines, and testing instruments

- Perform 3D mechanical design

- Analyze data and prepare project reports

- Support the management of Project Work Packages

- Assist in Standex production activities related to the projects

- Maintain relationships with project partners and consortiums

- Manage the supply chain (purchasing) for project needs

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Solid understanding of polymeric and metal materials

- Basic knowledge of industrial processes (injection molding, machining, additive manufacturing)

- Preferable expertise in Surface Functionalization and laser engraving processes

- Proficiency in 3D mechanical design software

- Excellent reporting skills and ability to conduct literature studies

- Familiarity with Office Package (e. g. , Excel, Word)

- Strong data analysis skills

- Proactive with excellent communication and teamwork abilities

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

**Educational Requirements/Experience**:

- Master's degree in scientific matter (e. g. , materials engineering)

- Minimal or no professional experience required

- Good command of the English language
