We are looking for a proactive and motivated junior researcher with a degree in scientific disciplines to join the Laboratory of Environmental and Epidemiological Indicators (Environmental Health Science Department).

The scholarship will start in April/May 2025.

One of the main research lines of the laboratory is based on environmental monitoring for emerging contaminants.

Our team develops and applies different analytical approaches using mass spectrometry techniques to investigate the occurrence of emerging contaminants in environmental samples and evaluate their impact on human health.

Profile Required Master Degree in chemistry, environmental sciences and related disciplines;At least one-year experience in analytical chemistry, especially in sample-treatment and LC-mass spectrometry techniques;At least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed scientific journal or conference book;Good proficiency in English both written and spoken;Attention to quality, integrity, creativity and cooperation. Tasks and Responsibilities Extraction and analysis of environmental samples, mainly water. Development and application of low- and high-resolution mass spectrometry methods for sample analysis. Statistical analysis and data interpretation. Publication of scientific articles and participation in dissemination activities.
