Junior Sous Chef
Summary
Hyatt Centric Milano Centrale is looking for a talented Junior Sous Chef for our kitchen department.
He/she leads kitchen team in chef's absence.
Works with head chef and sous chef to maintain kitchen organization, staff ability, and training opportunities
He/she Oversees and organizes kitchen stock and ingredients.
Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance.
Manages food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimizes waste, plus works with existing systems to improve waste reduction and manage budgetary concerns.
He/she coordinates with restaurant management team on supply ordering, budget, and kitchen efficiency and staffing.
Assists in the kitchen, contributing to the overall success of the outlet, in accordance with the hotel's standards and financial goals
He/she provides guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.

- At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations maintaining composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Italian and English speaker
