**THE POSITION**:

As a Junior Technical Manager, you will join the Boehringer Ingelheim Italia Animal Health Technical Team and with them, you will be driving the change to improve our pets' and animals' lives!

You will be a reference point for scientific advice for Pet Vet/Pet Retail products, both internally (Marketing, Sales, CX Depts) and for external parties and institutions (Key Opinion Leaders, General Practitioners and other relevant stakeholders), by fostering, cultivating and maintaining credible and unbiased medical and scientific dialogue, in order to ensure an effective presence in the company's therapeutic areas, with focus on Parasiticides Portfolio.

Furthermore, you will play an essential role in the implementation of scientific initiatives, following a strategical/tactical plan with Marketing Team, meeting the timelines and costs and in compliance with Company's standards and the legislation in force.

**For this position we offer a 12 months external contract (contratto di somministrazione)

**Tasks & responsibilities**:

- Propose to Marketing Team technical strategies for the development of the products and co-operate in executing technical/promotional materials.

Ensure that the technical messages are accurately spread in the market

- Develop and maintain relationships with KOLs, scientific partners and other relevant stakeholders within the therapeutic areas of BI interest, in order to optimize the scientific community's knowledge of products and development activities within the medical community

- Ensure support in monitoring of trials falling within area of competence in order to assure scientific validity of results, as well as compliance with plans and ensure support for publication of national Trial results in scientific journal

- Strictly cooperate with Italian Pet Vet Technical Team

- Ensure collaboration with Corporate Technical Team and participate in international technical meetings

- Participate in periodical training for Sales Team and National Sales Meetings

- Attend the major scientific events in the industry in order to collect information which is technically useful for sales, and to keep constantly up-to-date.

- Ensure that all interactions and engagements activities are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with BI values.

**Requirements**:

- University Degree in Veterinary Medicine; higher degree/qualification (e. g.

MSc, PhD) would be a plus.

- Solid medical/scientific background and previous experience in Parasitology is strongly preferred

- Previous experience in pharma industry in similar roles

- Advanced digital skills in Office; knowledge of other different digital channels is highly appreciated

- Fluency in English and Italian

- Highly customer focused with an awareness of the importance of business results

- Outstanding communication, cooperation and negotiation skills
