Key Account Manager

As account manager, you will be responsible for the sales in the South European region. You will manage a wide and diverse portfolio of customers, from key accounts to specialized companies that require your presence and expertise. You will develop our position in the market segment by expanding our business at our existing customers and attracting new customers. You will be a true business partner for your customers thanks to strong market and application knowledge. You will prepare and follow up on customer contacts and work closely with your colleagues within and outside the sales department to make sure you can meet the requirements of both the customer and Oleon. You will work in an international environment hand in hand with different departments within Oleon such as purchasing, production, planning, supply chain, and sales. You will be based in the office in Genoa and report to the General Manager of the sales affiliate. Who are we looking for? You'll succeed if: You have a master's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent experience. You have 5 years of experience in sales & marketing, in selling in a B2B environment and eager to close the deal, selling both products and solutions. You have experience in product development, formulations (optional), and new market introductions & launches through working with these largest accounts. You have key account manager expertise, resulting in commercial, market & technical know-how. You can provide feedback on market trends/R&D projects through your market experience or communication with your established network. You have excellent communication and people skills with a strong ability to communicate across a range of diverse cultures and corporate levels. You are pro-active, business-driven, and result-oriented. You have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment by working both independently and as part of a team meeting deadlines and expectations. You have an entrepreneurial mindset; you are a dynamic self-starter with proven commercial and communication skills. You are willing to travel 30% of your time overnight. You are fluent in English and preferably also in French. Depending on the role, you may be asked to complete an assessment to demonstrate your abilities and knowledge. Step 6: Offer & contract. We have the right chemistry During a digital call, we will go through our proposal and you can ask your remaining questions. Before your first day on the job, we will schedule an in-person meeting to sign your contract and meet your new colleagues.
