Key Account Manager (All Genders)
The primary role of this position will be for leading the Commercial Activities for assigned countries Italy and Spain or regions (and/or any additional country(ies) and regions as necessary).
We are looking for a Key Account Manager to be based in Milan, Italy.
This role will focus on commercial activities for Italy and Spain.
This role will lead and collaborate with a team of Area/Regional Managers and Territory Managers (TMs) in addition to Distributors, as well as develop sales and operational activities of AngioDynamics within the assigned country(ies).
This position is responsible for Direct and Indirect Sales, supporting marketing on all product lines, expanding customer base, and cooperating with corporate and government officials in a professional standard that is consistent with company relations, policy, and procedures.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Works highly collaboratively with and reports to the Regional Manager Southern Europe & Mediterranean Countries to increase the number of public, state, and private hospitals to adopt our products in Italy and Spain.
- Works closely with the Regional Manager Southern Europe & Mediterranean Countries in order to drive entire Product Portfolio in Italy and Spain.
- Works highly collaboratively with our Clinical and Market Access leadership to create a system for the development of country(ies) based, physicians and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
- Works highly collaboratively with the Clinical, Market Access and Marketing Leadership Access to organize workshops, seminars, local exhibitions, and congresses in order to increase product awareness and acceptance across assigned countries Italy and Spain (and/or any additional country(ies) and regions assigned as necessary).
- Responsible for the execution and implementation of sales strategies, leading to revenue growth relative to corporate goals, management direction, motivation, and development of the team
- Oversees day-to-day operations
- Monitors team performance and report on metrics
- Drives top line sales in the assigned countries and achieves personal quarterly budgets
- Acts as liaison within the country(ies) for coordinating communication, orders, customers, exhibitions, congresses, and sales planning
- Identifies training gaps, collaborates with the Clinical leadership team to ensure all Area/Regional Managers, Territory Managers (TM's) and Distributors are fully trained
- Maintains high visibility and contact with the Area/Regional Managers, Territory Managers and Distributors providing strong coaching training, supervision, advice, and guidance where necessary
- Ensures 100% adoption of SFDC across the assigned country(ies) Italy and Spain, and ensures all country(ies) customer leads are followed up.
Ultimately responsible for the motivation and morale of the direct and indirect commercial channel and support team to meet the commercial requirement of the business within the commercial organizations.
- Develops and implements appropriate performance management processes to optimize sales revenue, including regular transparent sales productivity and activity reporting
- Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws, including, but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, training/coaching/engaging team, terminating employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding/recognizing and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Ensures applicable SOP's are understood and implemented.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Regulatory Responsibilities
- Manages in order to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory/statutory/legal requirements
Education and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS -The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required
Education, location and Experience
- Bachelor's Level of Degree in the Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or other related field of study
- This position requires someone to be based in Milan, Italy.
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of recent, proven managerial experience in a similar setting
- Specifically, 5-7years of demonstrated experience in Sales/Marketing Management
- Proven ability to train team members, set clear goals and strategy, monitor progress towards goals.
- Track history of inspiring team environments with an open communication culture
- Solid communication, delegation, teamwork, problem solving, organizational and delegation skills.
- Proven ability to conflict resolution, de-escalate situations and solution-driven mindset.
- Able to demonstrate, inspire and motivate a confident work ethic and integrity in all aspects of the role.
- 3-5 years of experience in Medical Device, med-tech; experience in oncology and vascular fields an advantage
