Laboratory Technician

**We are looking for a Laboratory Technician
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
- Laboratory technician will have to conduct analyzes and perform tests in the R&D experimentation laboratory.
- He will mostly have to deal with quantitative and qualitative analyzes, laboratory tests, measurements and the drafting of reports on the work performed. Placed in the Technical Department, his duties will therefore be operational and support the scientific group.
- He will have to be experienced in the use of the laboratory techniques and tools necessary to carry out mechanical, environmental and electrical analyzes - such as customized instrumentations, digital data loggers, digital multimeters - and in the methods of documentation and recording of sample analysis data.
- He will be responsible for planning and managing the product validation plans according to the normal techniques prescribed by the international regulation IATF 16949.
- He will also take care of the equipment maintenance to verify their perfect efficiency and precision of the instrumentation.
- He will then check the inventory needed to keep the laboratory fully operational such as test samples, tools and materials, etc.
- He will have to be able to teach other technical personnel on the use of the equipment and to evaluate the assumption of new laboratory methods and tools, writing standards procedures as well.
- Prepare equipment and materials for conducting tests.
- To build and manage samples for Design Validation.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analyzes on material samples.
- Collect data, document analyzes, produce reports in English.
- Present the results to the Technical team.
- Manage the stock warehouse and order the materials necessary for the operation of the laboratory.
- Manage laboratory waste according to current legislation and ISO 14001.
- To manage annual instruments calibration.
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**:
- Minimum required education : Mechanical High School.
- Preferred education: Engineering or similar.
- Experience: 3+ years work experience in related position, automotive preferred.
- Software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
- Critical competencies: Strong mechanical, and interpersonal skills.
**LANGUAGES**:
- English required, French/German (preferred).
