Job Description

We are seeking an Lamination Machine Operator to join our growing team in Rome, GA.

In this role, the Lamination Machine Operator will understand and operate all the extruder laminator functions required to produce quality product in a safe manner by following company policies and procedures.

They are responsible for ensuring that the product does not become contaminated in any way and the equipment is maintained to ensure that it operates as designed and is safe at all times.

Responsibilities: Follow all company policies and proceduresBe familiar with the operation of all safety devices on the extruder laminatorRead and interpret the Job JacketOperate and understand all aspects of the extruder laminatorSet up and operate DCU in Radius systemComplete job checkout before starting productionComplete lab tests necessary for checkoutOperate the chain hoists safelyAssist with loading raw material rolls into unwindsAssist with preparing splices on unwind rollsAssist with removing and palletizing laminated rolls from the rewindLoad empty cores, cut to the proper size, on rewind and prepare for spliceMonitor trim system and change bladesRemove and collect raw material roll labelsWeigh waste and complete waste ticketsMonitor quality of material being producedSetup die with decklesProgram and operate resin blending systemUnderstand resin typesProperly label all WIP rollsRemove and collect all raw material and WIP rolls ticketsCheck raw material films for the correct type and wind directionUnderstand QA Hold tag systemUnderstand raw material Defective Material Return systemFollow all GMP's to avoid product contaminationKeep work area and equipment clean per SQF Food Safety requirementsPerform Operator assigned preventative maintenance as scheduledLabel and return unused rolls to inventoryMinimum Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
