We are seeking a Launch Services Manager to join our team and contribute to this exciting journey. About the Role This role is critical for planning, managing, and executing launch operations, in collaboration with engineering, logistics, and operations teams. The individual in this position will be responsible for ensuring that each launch occurs safely, on time, and in compliance with quality standards and space industry regulations. They will be actively involved in coordinating all activities related to satellite launches, including managing relationships with suppliers and external partners, monitoring risks, overseeing contracts, and providing technical support throughout all stages of the project, from the launch plan conception to post-operation. Responsibilities Launch Services Management: Responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing satellite launch operations, ensuring all activities comply with international quality and safety standards. Coordination with External Partners: Manage and negotiate with suppliers, space agencies, launch agencies, and commercial partners to ensure that all resources are available for the success of launch missions. Launch Analysis and Planning: Coordinate the resources necessary for satellite launches, from initial preparation to orbit insertion, including risk analysis and the management of any issues that may arise. Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all operations are carried out in compliance with space safety regulations and international standards. Launch Operations Optimization: Continuously improve launch processes to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget. Team Management: Supervise and lead a technical and operational team, fostering collaboration between engineers, scientists, and other industry professionals. Reporting and Documentation: Create technical and progress reports for executives and clients, documenting all operational phases and results of launch missions. Emergency Management: Be prepared for handling unforeseen events and quickly resolve any issues that may arise during the launch cycle. Qualifications Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Required Skills At least 5 years of experience in similar roles within the space sector, preferably with direct experience in satellite launches. In-depth knowledge of launch technologies and satellite systems. Experience in managing complex projects and multidisciplinary teams. Strong problem-solving skills and risk management capabilities. Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken. Available for travel within Italy and/or abroad for missions related to launch campaigns. Ability to work in an international and dynamic environment, with strong organizational skills. Possession of a valid driver's license (Category B). Preferred Skills Direct experience with small satellites. Knowledge of international regulations regarding space launch safety. Familiarity with satellite development and testing processes. Negotiation skills and experience in managing relationships with governmental and private entities in the space sector. What We Offer 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday.
