We currently have a vacancy at Bethanie Como Aged Care Home for a Laundry Assistant to work shifts on a permanent part time basis offering 22. 5 hours per week. The shifts are 11:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Bethanie Como is a 99 bed suite home that provides the full range of aged care services including dementia support, palliative care and respite services.

Key Responsibilities: Ensuring all personal laundry and linen is laundered correctly and relevant infection control practices are adhered toSorting and washing linen by wash temperature, colour, degree of soiling, infectious nature, fabric and fibreLoading and unloading washing machines and tumble dryersReporting damage or wear and recommending repairs or replacement as requiredRequirements: Possess a passion for, and previous experience working as a Laundry Assistant desirable in an aged care, hospital or similar environmentHave a "can do" attitude and a genuine compassion for our residentsReliable with a strong work ethicAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamAbility to communicate both orally and in writingA current police clearance or willingness to get oneWillingness to obtain any relevant vaccinations requiredWorking with Bethanie: At Bethanie we are committed to being an employer of choice by creating a supportive and compassionate environment for our people, customers and residents.
