OverviewScope of Position: The Laundry Attendant performs a variety of laundry duties to provide clean and sanitary linens for our guests, including but not limited to washing, drying, pressing, sorting and inspecting items for wear and stains.

Reports to: Team Leader, Housekeeping and Laundry

ResponsibilitiesSorts, washes, dries and folds laundryPresses linens and chef coatsRemoves stains where possible and contacts management when an item is too damaged to continue usingOperates washers, dryers, and pressers in accordance with safety standardsReads and understands directions for operating machines and recognizes when a machine is not functioning properlyCleans laundry according to set standards and within set time limitsMaintains laundry room and equipment in a clean and orderly mannerPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent is preferredPrevious laundry experience preferred, none requiredAbility to lift/carry up to 25 lbs. Ability to bend, stretch, and do much standingDemonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a teamSelf-discipline and ability to complete repetitious tasks while maintaining qualityCommitment to being present at appropriate times to work, all shifts, all daysExhibits the following competencies: dependability, team player, job knowledge, initiative, and problem solvingCommitment to the WinShape Retreat vision and core values
