Job overview MFR CR is seeking a Lead Analyst with experience in the credit rating sector to join our dynamic and international team based in Milan. Alternative working locations within the EU can be arranged. The Lead Analyst will assess the creditworthiness of financial institutions operating in Europe, Asia, and Africa and their financial instruments. This role involves participating in the entire process of credit rating production and monitoring throughout the credit rating's validity. Tasks and responsibilities Coordinate and conduct all activities related to the production and monitoring of credit ratings. Lead and supervise an analytical team and conduct on-site/off-site interviews with rated financial institutions. Perform technical and financial analysis of the performance and risk profile of rated financial institutions. Participate in the Rating Committee for the approval and assignment of final grades and outlooks. Manage technical relationships with MFR CR's clients. Qualifications At least 5 years of relevant industry experience (within an ESMA registered credit rating agency is a plus). Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including ability to analyze and interpret financial statements and indicators. Excellent knowledge of English (additional languages are a plus). Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office. Interest in the sustainable, inclusive, and impact finance sector. Strong teamwork, time-management, and multitasking skills. Willingness and availability to travel, including outside Europe (EU nationalities preferred for work permit reasons and visa requirements).
