**About the role**:
In this role based in Milan you will report into the Italy FD and play an essential role in making sure that the direct channel's growth journey continues. Our direct channel has been a key source of growth within the EMEA region recently and it continues to be a key strategic priority. A multi-faceted channel that operates 24/7 with world class owner experience at its core, it includes Dyson. it, Dyson Customer Services, Dyson marketplaces and our growing physical retail estate. The role has significant exposure to senior leadership in the market and region. The primary responsibility will be to work in partnership with the key members of the direct/digital channel commercial team to drive its growth strategy and measure performance through insightful analysis. The role will also support investment decisions through robust and objective ROI analysis and financial modelling, and be responsible for ensuring profitable growth in Dyson's physical retail stores. In addition to the local market responsibilities you will be an integral member of a regional collaboration group specialising on the direct channel that is responsible for developing and sharing best practice across the region, and collaborating with Group and regional finance teams on key transformation projects.
Core accountabilities
- Work in partnership with the local Direct leadership team to plan their resource and infrastructure requirements, short and long term; provide channel input to the local strategic plan.
- Business partner with the Direct business executives on commercial planning to forecast sales by channel and category for market LEs and demand planning. Quantify risks and opportunities, and proactively support identification and development of mitigation plans.
- Perform objective financial modelling and scenario analysis to support sound decision making for physical retail store expansion.
- Lead initiatives to improve channel profitability. Have your finger on the pulse of efficiency KPIs and drive a continuous review agenda that optimises cost-to-serve across the Direct channel and delivers insight on promotional effectiveness.
- Drive financial capability within the direct team by providing training and supporting the team members in their business objectives, and contribute to the overall financial capability building program across the market.
