We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team in Milan, Italy. In this role, you will be at the forefront of delivering top-tier electrical engineering solutions for state-of-the-art data center projects.

Role Overview: As the Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing electrical systems design and implementation for our data center projects. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of electrical designs and systems, adhering to industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements. Your leadership will guide a team of engineers and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of electrical systems, including power distribution, backup power solutions, and high-voltage systems.

Responsibilities: Lead the design, specification, and commissioning of electrical systems for data centers, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and backup power systems. Supervise and manage a team of electrical engineers to deliver designs, solutions, and reports on time and within budget. Ensure all electrical systems meet industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements. Review electrical designs and make necessary improvements or modifications to optimise efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Manage and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials and services. Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and architects to ensure all aspects of the data center infrastructure are aligned. Provide technical support and guidance to the team and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct site surveys and audits to assess current electrical systems and identify opportunities for improvements. Review and approve project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring all electrical aspects are accounted for. Oversee commissioning and testing of electrical systems, ensuring full functionality before project handover. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any electrical issues during the design and implementation phases. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as local and international electrical codes. Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, reports, and specifications. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. At least 8-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on data center projects or large-scale infrastructure developments. Proven experience in the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems in mission-critical environments, such as data centers, power plants, or industrial facilities. Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities. Expertise in electrical codes, standards, and regulations (including local Italian codes and international standards). Familiarity with electrical design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing engineering challenges. Knowledge of power generation, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and transformers.
