Job Description
Thermo Fisher Scientific, a world leader in serving science, is seeking a Lead for the Visual Inspection department located in Monza (MB). The candidate will operate in a department where visual inspection is performed—automatically, semi-automatically, and manually—of sterile pharmaceuticals in vials (liquid and lyophilized forms) or pre-filled syringes. The lead will report to the Visual Inspection Supervisor and will collaborate daily with quality and all other functions on site to ensure customer satisfaction and deliver products to patients. The lead will coordinate the activities assigned to them, ensuring appropriate collaboration among operators.
Scope of the Position/Responsibilities:
The lead is responsible for achieving production goals in terms of quantity and quality within the Visual Inspection department (VI DPS) by planning and controlling production activities on a daily and weekly basis, adhering to company quality procedures, safety regulations, environmental impact standards, and directives from their supervisor.
Specific Tasks/Primary Activities:
Production Planning: Contributes to ensuring adequate production planning within the weekly and daily timeframe by assigning tasks to operators, in accordance with the directives of the Planning and Scheduler of the department.
Ensure production meets the planned quantities, timelines, and quality through supervision of production activities, control of the Batch Record, and department documentation related to the tasks performed, complying with the master batch record concerning quantity, timelines, quality, GMP, procedures, and company quality standards.
Support leadership in monitoring the application of SOPs, ensuring compliance with the master batch record, verifying process sampling, and ensuring that recorded production data comply with GMP and current procedures before submission to Quality Assurance, in accordance with company quality policies and procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Diploma with prior experience in the role.
Two years of experience in a pharmaceutical and/or food environment.
Fluency in Italian and English.
Ability to manage and coordinate resources with strong leadership skills.
Willingness to work in shifts (including continuous and night shifts).
Responsibility and flexibility.
