JDL Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a global general contractor who are looking for a Lead Planner to join their data centre project team in Milan, Frankfurt or Vienna.

Responsibilities: Demonstrate the abilities to create, update & monitor a project programme and communicate with project team, subcontractor and clientDevelop bid programmes to support and compliment bid submissionsDevelop, maintain and review detailed master construction programmes and project controls procedures for live projectsEnsure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislationContinually update relevant project documentation following internal proceduresDevelopment of the project programmes with relevant parties, including sub-contractors and supplierAccount management of existing clients, building long term partnershipsBusiness development activities with new clientsComplete responsibility for your project and may assists others in projects as the need arisesLiaise with stakeholders to review progress of projects, supporting risk identification and proactive problem solvingEnsure projects are completed within specified timescales, specifications and budgetsActively encourage/develop alternative construction techniques to achieve better timescales, whilst maintaining the project requirements for budget, quality and safetyMaintaining records of the project timeframes and achievements for future referenceSupport and actively encourage the development of direct report/sCreate and sustain schedules for the pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases, whilst keeping progress reporting up to dateEstablish project schedule resource requirementsDevelop and Communicate tools for the target completion of project goalsProvides performance updates / reports views for identification of variances and corrective actionYou will be the Planning representative in Client & Subcontractor meetingsRequirements: Degree in Engineering / Construction Management required or a HNC in a relevant engineering disciplineExperience in the construction industry, preferably main contractor experience. Substantial experience, across a wide range of engineering projects, preferably data centres, with a good understanding of commercial and contractual matters. An understanding of programming techniquesA sound knowledge of typical production ratesYou will have excellent communications skills and strong analytical and logical skillsProficiency in Primavera Software P6The ability to work to defined, often challenging, timescales
